S] What are you up to right now?
Syka] “We are currently on a creative binge visualizing and creating the next era of Syka.”
S] Talk to us about the development of the music?
Syka] “‘Stay Wild’ was a massive leap for us. We grew intensely as a band and as individual artists through the entire journey, which was apparent with the release of ‘Stay Wild’ and will be even more so this time around.”
S] What sort of things inspire you guys outside of music – think films and book for example?
Syka] “Visual art, films, and even certain television shows have inspired our storytelling. Life experiences and truth are what influence our music.”
S] What’s been the highlight of your career thus far?
Syka] “Our entire ‘Stay Wild’ Experience was a definite highlight: the amount of production that went into the EP, the videos, and the show were all a very exciting process. At the same time, we’re always looking to the future. Everyday life as Syka is the most interesting and wild experience to live in.”
S] What track that you guys are working on right now, or have released do you feel perfectly defines what you are all about?
Syka] “Our ‘Stay Wild’ EP as a whole is what defined who we were at a point in time. With that said, we’re working on music right now that goes even deeper.”
S] What are your main plans for the rest of this year?
Syka] “We have a few highlight shows booked: November 15 with GWAR at Webster Hall NYC and November 21 with Dragonforce & Kamelot at Starland Ballroom in NJ. We are also intensely writing and developing the next era.”
