S] What inspires you outside of music, think specific people, places and movies for example?

Our main inspirations for our music outside of music are many, but the main ones are surely the pessimism of Italian authors Giacomo Leopardi and Luigi Pirandello. An anime series that really inspired me was Shinichiro Watanabe’s Cowboy Bebop, a masterpiece that explores delicate concepts such as loneliness, boredom and the meaninglessness of life. I also love the sensations of uneasiness and dismay I get from Caspar David Friedrich’s paintings. Wine, countrysides and the winter desolation of the city we are from down in our beautiful Sardinia island also need citing.

S] What challenges do you face as a band?

The great challenge for us as a band is to give a start to our music and manage to live a life completely made up of the illusions of art and music, in order to escape this repetitive existence we can’t accept.

S] What have you learned about yourself as musicians and artists since being in a band?

Since we’ve been in this band we’ve been learning how music is important to us, how it’s the only thing that makes our lives worth living. That feeling of freedom we get for those brief moments when we play our songs is just indescribable; our riffs and lyrics are our only way to whisper our message in the ears of those who can hear it.

S] What advice would you give to others?

Our advice for other bands is to never be ashamed of putting their souls into the music they make, and to never be discouraged by the people around them, either friends or strangers. Making music is never stupid or futile, contrary to what many believe.

S] What are your plans for the rest of the year?

We want to start gigging and find some decent opportunities, have lots of fun and get as many people as possible dancing.

S] What have been some career highlights so far?

We’ve only played one gig in Liverpool before the CD was recorded and it was a night we’d rather forget, but that didn’t demoralise us at all. We’re eager to get things started for real.
