S] How are you guys today?
Nathan Bailey] Good
Tayt Cockell – drums] On this day the 2nd of November: just fine
Hayden Hughes – vocals, guitar] Bangin’
S] What inspiration do you gain from your surroundings, and local scene?
Nath] I’ve seen 3 people fall off their bikes this week.
Tayt] It depends where i am. If I’m outside, different things may inspire me as opposed to being inside. In my house, my Mum inspires me. In my garden, my dog inspires me.
Hayden] There isn’t a music scene in Flintshire!
Nath] We don’t nick off the other bands, but even if we did we wouldn’t tell you, would we?
S] What about other media – films, games, art etc?
Hayden] Yeah Art and Film inspires me. I reference film a lot in the tunes. It all works itself into the songs somehow.
Tayt] Steven Gerrard is my idol.
Nath] How does he get his head so square? Inspiring.
S] What would you say your biggest challenges are as a band?
Nath] Hayden.
Tayt] Hayden.
S] How do you define success as a group?
Nath] Whether, like, you know… just whether John (my dad) thinks it’s gone ok.
Tayt] I just like it when people say they like my van.
S] What experiences inspired ‘My Girl’?
Hayden] I just imagined my ideal girl. She doesn’t exist.
