[like_to_read][/like_to_read] What inspires your music?

KB: I think the observation of life in general and the things that most people struggle with throughout their life like love, heartbreak, hardships, spirituality and finding ourselves through it all. I went though some tough times several years back which is what brought me back to music after 20 years away. In college I was a drummer and really wanted to pursue music further but at that point in my life there was little support for it and everyone around me discouraged the idea.  I am very thankful that the people I surround myself with today all are so incredibly supportive and want me to continue to do all I can in music.

What motivates you outside of music, think people and places?

KB: The biggest inspiration you can always draw upon is the opportunity that everyone has to make a difference in the world. People who embody and embrace this have always been the biggest inspiration to me.  I am awed seeing people overcome adversity to achieve great accomplishments in life. It motivates me to be better and to work harder. I also absolutely love science relating to space! If I had to go somewhere to regain my perspective on life it would definitely be somewhere remote where I could star gaze at night and see the amazing view above.

What has been a defining moment in your career?

KB: The release of my first full-length album, Who I Am was a huge accomplishment for me.  I had released several singles in the past but the dedication to sit down and write the music and take it from step one to the very end is something that I had previously never done. It confirmed to me that I could do it despite my self doubt at times.  It has inspired me to set out to write a sophomore album which will contain a re-write of several early songs that released along with some great new material.

4.) What message do you have for your fans reading?

KB: First, I would like to thank each and everyone of them that has taken the time to listen to my music and show their support. You can’t imagine how that makes me feel when someone listens and likes something that I have created. Second, I would remind them to always follow their hearts.  It doesn’t matter where you are, what circumstances you have or what adversity you face always, always, always work hard for what you want out of life. Define yourself and know exactly who you are and if you don’t like what you discover, work even harder to become who you want to be!
