In our next artist spotlight, we talk to the UK’s premier disabled hip-hop artist, Dan The Rapperman about his music, inspirations and Hull as The City of Culture for 2017.

S] Hi Dan, how are you today?
Great! Thank you!
S] What do you think of Hull’s hip-hop scene?
It is filled with some awesome artists, myself included!
S] What are your biggest challenges as an artist?
The biggest challenges is to perform one of my own tracks on stage.
S] What are your hopes for Hull City of Culture 2017?
I’m currently doing a collaboration with Steve Redeye Feenix called, City of Culture!
S] Who are some of the best bands and artists that you like from Hull?
I really like Nineties boy, Counting Coins, Steve Redeye Feenix and The Talks
S] What keeps you passionate outside of music?
I think Stewart Baxter, because I wrote my first track with him, he was very patient with me because of my condition. The Warren has influenced me a lot. Also, my late father he helped me align and kept telling me.
S] What’s been a career highlight for you?
