Dunno about any of you folks reading this, but I am beyond ready to get back to gigs the very minute it’s even remotely safe to put them on. Based on the email sent out by Wolf Alice this morning announcing their new tour dates, it would seem I’m not alone in having gone a little stir-crazy during the enforced downtime.
Yes, the Mercury Prize-winning alt-rock quartet are back, having now chased the release of comeback single “The Last Man on Earth” and announcement of third album Blue Weekend with plans for an extensive UK & Ireland tour. Hopefully, unlike almost literally every other concert and/or tour tentatively announced since the stupid apocalypse kicked off, this one won’t need to be postponed either as it’s not until January of 2022. Still, it’s nice to have things to look forward to, eh?
Tickets go on general sale from Friday the 26th of March, but a fan presale will run on Wednesday the 24th at 9am for anyone who pre-orders the new album in any format before 5PM GMT on Tuesday the 23rd. The tour dates are below, along with the accompanying band message, and click through here to buy tickets and/or the album.

“i can not wait to wake up extremely dehydrated on the tour bus and step outside to see theo kicking a ball about in norwich UEA car park, to drink my breakfast beer to the sweet tones of joff’s noodling in glasgow barrowland’s dressing room (up there with my favey d rooms i must say) i can’t wait to request some horrific songs at joel’s dodgy dj set post btown (btown omg ive missed u!) 02 academy sipping on something blue but most importantly i can not wait to see you all again old fans and new even the friend you’ve dragged along who doesn’t even want to be there i can’t wait to see you too.
i can’t wait to play these new songs live they are gonna sound so gooooood. joff’s pedal board literally sounds like an orchestra at the moment and you have no idea how sweet theo’s falsetto is rn. this message is gonna be really embarrassing if no one turns up to these shows so please buy a ticket i know it seems far away right now but it will be worth it promise. xxxxxxxxxxx”
And whilst we’re at it, here’s the video for lead single “The Last Man on Earth.”
