Since forming in 2012 via text message between members from Boston, LA and Hull, SKATERS have become renowned for their youthful, creative, energetic guitar-laden post-punk. After relentless touring, critical acclaim, and impressive radio momentum across the globe, the band eventually parted ways with Warner Bros Records at the end of 2015.

It’s fair to say, the band were less than impressed with their major label experience and now announce their return via Gary Powell, from The Libertines’, independent label ‘25 Hour Convenience Store’. The band will release ‘Rock and Roll Bye’ EP on 13th May 2016 and have streamed ‘The Loner’ from this 5 track EP, which Michael Ian Cummings from the band describes;
“The Loner was an early favourite during the making of our second album (due for release in the Autumn), while some songs stand out with clever production or catchy lyrics, this song rose to the top due to pure raw power. This is Skaters live on a good night, if you find yourself so lucky.”
