If you went on a first visual impression, you might be forgiven for writing Secular Pains’ imagery and vibe off as a every bit the goth metal cliche, however sonically there is so much diversity, and we love it. Indeed, there are elements of blues at the forefront of this, so SP comes of like a miserable Jack White, and it works. So, in summary, ‘Vampiric Dreams’ will be just as much your cup of blood if you dig Jimi Hendrix as much as you do Paradise Lost. Much respect to this artist for turning his personal pain into aural catharis. We look forward to hearing more…
