York’s classic rock clowns A Joker’s Rage have been touring the national stage for the last 12 months promoting their 2013 self-released EP ‘The Masquerade’; a journey that has seen them share the stage with the likes of The Darkness and World Superbike champion James Toseland. The band will take to the stage at Fibbers, York to join in celebration and support of independent music venues.
Running from January 28 of the UK’s historic venues. The six-day event includes 18 locations, promoting the best home-grown talent. Support for the event has come far and wide with backing from artists such as Radiohead, Travis and Frank Turner.
“It’s a real honour to be asked to return to the Fibbers stage in partnership with Independent Venue Week” said vocalist and AJR clown-in-chief Zakk Taylor. “The York music scene has some amazing talent, and without the support of local venues this talent would never see the light of day.”
Independent Venue Week takes place January 28 – February 2, with the York event taking place at Fibbers, Stonebow York on the last day.
