Wunderhorse have dropped their new track ‘Midas,’ the first release since their 2022 album ‘Cub.’
Started by Jacob Slater, Wunderhorse have skyrocketed with a mass of media support for their first album detailing the feelings of growing up, the effect of drugs, love and depression. Over the last few years, the group have supported plenty of popular artists including Sam Fender, Declan McKenna, Fontaines D.C and Pixies as well as, played their own headline tour.
Wunderhorse have a passion for heavy guitar-riffs, raw vocals and earnest lyrics. Although they are yet to announce another album, ‘Midas’ has fans overjoyed and speculating.
“Threw his head back like a pelican and straightened his tie HAHAHA” Slater squawks with irritation while drums pound and guitar erupts.
The band’s explosive new single ‘Midas’ was released earlier this month. Potent guitar dominates the track as Slater’s intense vocals depict someone who makes you feel inferior. Slater told NME “Midas is the guy who makes you feel like a pencil stub, all used up and nothing to show for it, but it’s always just business as far as he’s concerned.”
Later this year Wunderhorse are due to appear at TRNSMT Festival (July 12-14), Boardmasters Festival (August 7-11) and Reading/Leeds Festival (August 22-25).
