Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has crushed all hope that the band will ever release a new album as he announced that the band will not release any in the future. The decision was partially influenced by the very negative reaction to the band’s 2007’s comeback album “Zeitgeist”. He told The Chicago Tribune last month: “We’re done with that (“Zeitgeist”). There is no point. People don’t even listen to it all. They put it on their iPod, they drag over the two singles, and skip over the rest.”
The band therefore have decided to become a ‘singles band’.
