Made up of Hull alternative music royalty (Vulgarians and Cannibal Animal), MAFTIN curate a sound that balances the tightrope of electronica and psychedelia, whilst infusing alternative pop sensibilities to harness a sound you’d likely hear somewhere south of midnight in Berlin. Having played with the likes of Idles, The Horrors, The Wytches in previous band Vulgarians, that band won over BBC 6Music royalty in Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, whilst also playing festivals such as The Great Escape and Focus Wales. The trio aim to expand on the support they gained from numerous past publications such as Clash and DIY Magazine.

Produced by hitmaker Stewart Baxter (Life), the electronica-inspired three-piece release their debut single ‘Kickin’ Daisies’ on April 25th. The song aptly recorded three-stories-high on an industrial estate, tackles a subject matter of socioeconomic oppression, whilst still striving with fistfuls of hope in a chorus for all to dance along.
