The wait is over. Today, Des Moines’ very own Vended have released their long-awaited debut, self-titled, self-released album.
in 2018 Cole Espeland , Griffin Taylor, Simon Crahan Jeremiah Pugh and Connor Grodzicki who at this point were just regular teenagers, formed their new band, and turned it into a full scale movement by winning fans from all over the world. An unwavering DIY work ethic, and the ability to write unhinged songs along whilst performing and improving their craft on the road constantly has led to this moment, as Vended become the torchbearers for a new generation of metal fans and musicians with this release.
Produced by Chris Collier, Vended features 13 original tracks, and includes the singles ‘Am I The Only One’, ‘The Far Side’, ‘Nihilism’ as well as ‘Serenity’.
Speaking on their debut record, the band says: “We see this record as an outsider’s depiction of the world we live in. And a reflection of one’s self as we drift through life’s emotions.. This album is completely raw and uncompromising. We wanted to convey the aggression we felt while making it, and give fans a glimpse into that side of Vended. Welcome to the world as we know it.”
Now, alongside the new album, Vended have revealed a new music video for ‘Where The Honesty Lies’.
The band are continuously touring around the US, and on top of a tour with Wristmeetrazor and Lie, they will also have appearances at Knotfest and Aftershock Festival.
