Toodles & The Hectic Pity have released a second single off their forthcoming debut album. ‘The Enemies Of Happiness Are Not Napping!’ is out now and is the perfect fusion of folk and punk.
The Bristol based trio’s debut album Hold Onto Happiness With Both Hands arrives June 23rd via Specialist Subject Records. Toodles & The Hectic Pity will be heading out on the road this July on their own headline tour in support of the album.
With a sound that is almost a combination of Neutral Milk Hotel and Pulp with elements of punk thrown in, the new single is everything fans could want. Starting with a quick and punchy opening verse then chorus the song takes a turn half way through introducing slowing down and introducing horns and cleaner tones.
Commenting on the single front man Callum McAllister said “It almost hit the chopping block separate times because we all didn’t feel as though we could crack the ending, but we got there in the end!”
With a series of live shows coming up and the release of the album, 2023 is shaping up tp be a huge year for Toodles & The Hectic Pity.
