Tigercub have released their new single ‘Swoon’ off their upcoming album The Perfume Of Decay. ‘Swoon’ is the third single off the forthcoming album which is set to release 2nd June via Loosegrove Records. The track features a combination of clean guitars and gentle vocals before unleashing into heavy riffs and an ear-worm of a chorus.
‘Swoon’ explores the feelings of frontman Jamie Hall looking back on homesickness following his move from Sunderland to Brighton where Tigercub formed. “As the years have passed, I’ve grown more and more homesick and have realised my deep yearning to reconnect with my roots in the north of England” Hall says speaking on the inspiration behind the track. Hall adds “The track is brooding, dynamic and explosive, a taster of things to come from The Perfume of Decay.”
Tigercub are combining elements of metal, rock and even shoegaze to create a distinctly unique and modern sound with The Perfume Of Decay being the next step in their evolution. The album marks a landmark for the band with it being their first release via Loosegrove Records, the label set up by Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard who flagged the band as being “generational”.
