UK alt-rock group The Fever Kings have released a video for their new single ‘Nowhere To Hide.’ The bands self-titled debut EP, which the track is on, is due for release on 21st June.
On the track, The Fever Kings comment, “I think to some extent, many of us carry thoughts we find difficult to silence and escape from. As much as we would love to avoid the mental strain, sometimes there is literally ‘Nowhere To Hide’, and we must face what is holding us back head on, to a point where reality begins to distort. So we wanted this song to display the discomfort of facing the darkness, as well as the release of letting it all go.”
“The song, and video, are both powerful representations of the issues we all face. We thought having the demons coming up to Jack, and at the end disappearing when the mask is pulled off, was a good way of showing what someone might have going on in their mind that nobody else can see. We hope people can relate and take away that we all have demons invisible to everyone else – don’t let them define who you are and believe in yourself.”
Utilising soft rock and heavy melodies, The Fever Kings sound leans towards nostalgic 00’s rock with dynamic influences including Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Jimmy Eat World.
This year The Fever Kings will make a live appearance, opening the main stage of Northants Rocks in Northamptonshire, on 26th July.
The Fever Kings are: Jack Songer (Guitar & vocals), Thomas Myerscough (Keys/Synths), Alex Brown (Bass) and Chris Gilks (Drums).
