Aaron Metzdorf, bassist of Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol answers some questions for Dom on their current US run, around the potential of coming over to the UK!
S] Hey guys, how are you doing today?
We’re well, headed home from our first west coast tour. Sean’s eating barbecue peanuts, Leo’s napping, I’m listening to Kowloon Walled City and marvelling at how flat Kansas is.
S] How have the shows been going?
All the shows have been rad. Great turnout for our first time out west. LA, Seattle, Denver you were rowdy!
S] How do you look back at ‘Doom Wop’ at this point in your career?
It’s still early, but I think we’re all very proud of it. We wrote some really catchy, mature songs, and they’re fun to play live. I think it did an excellent job of defining our sound.
S] How do you define success as a band, what does it mean to you?
We want to be able to sustain a modest comfort of living for ourselves. No visions of grandeur, but if we can make music and tour to provide for ourselves doing just that we’ll be a success.
S] Are there any messages for your UK followers and supporters?
Hopefully, we’ll be able to visit soon! We enjoy reading your messages and appreciate the support!
S] Is there anything else you’d like to add before we finish?
We’re working on our next album now, we plan to release by the end of the year. Very excited to share it. Keep in touch with us, we’ll be on tour again real soon cause Texas is too hot to just be sitting around! Love ya!
S] Thanks for making the time!
