What themes and ideas inspire your music?
Mostly, experiences and rough times in my life, it’s the main reference when I put all that’s in my brain into words. But also there are shows that inspire me, stories that my friends told me, some books I read. I always write dark thoughts or how to escape them. I wish that people who listen to me can relate to them someday.
What’s been a career highlight?
Playing shows and get to perform my own songs is the highlight-est thing. Also that some of my references in music liked my own music and support me.
What motivates you outside music – people and places, for example?
I have a handful of friends that are always supporting me and want to help me to create videos for my music, want me to go to castings or show me websites where you can send your music and get to play to a festival. It is awesome that there are people around me that believe in me, because when I lose myself and I am frustrated, they are the ones who make me keep up and create.
Which of your most recent songs best represents the music you make, and why?
‘Getaway’ is the perfect example of the music I want to create in the future. While I am working and saving money to release the best EP I can, two friends of mine – Mark&Albert – that just started producing, helped me to record this song, they also did the whole instrumental when all we had was an acoustic version of it. I want to mix some of the styles I like the most, because I want to make something cool. Rock is my thing when I go to my guitar and start composing, but also I love pop, r&b, electronic, indie… I think that if you work hard and you are surrounded by people who understand what you got in mind, the results will always be satisfying. Hypnagogia was more a chill out acoustic song that just wanted to release to get a place on music industry, and it brought me awesome things, but Getaway is how my music will sound and how my lyrics will be.
What are your big plans for the rest of 2017?
Release my debut EP, finally. Because I wanted to release it on 2015, but never got the chance, and in two years I wrote a lot of songs and created lots of melodies that are still unwritten, so I wish this year I can put all of this stuff out. Also, I wish I can play more shows and play outside my city. I think this will be a good year!
