Yesterday, singer and songwriter Poppy shared two new songs, ‘The Cost Of Giving Up’, as well as ‘Crystallized.’ The two new tracks join ‘they’re all around us’ and ‘new way out’ as the latest offering from her upcoming record Negative Spaces which will get released on the 15th of November through Sumerian records. The new album is set to reveal a new side of the always innovative artist.
This year, apart from being a monumental one for Poppy’s music, it has also been phenomenal for her live performances as well. In January, she kicked things off by joining Bad Omens in Europe. This was followed by her very own headlining Zig Tour throughout the UK. In March, Poppy supported the legendary Avenged Sevenfold on their month-long North American tour. Lastly, this summer, she opened for Thirty Seconds To Mars. Making this year one of the most successful of her career.
Last week, the singer announced Improbably Poppy, a brand new series on the streaming platform Veeps. Speaking on the new show, Poppy introduces it as “a show where we’ll learn, listen, live, laugh, love and probably, a few of us will die.” Each Improbably Poppy episode will feature Poppy performing a new song, with a full EP coming of the new tracks in the near future.
Negative Spaces continues the sonic adventure of this spring’s ‘New Way Out,’ with Poppy collaborating with producer Jordan Fish to deliver a mix of pop, punk and metal. It’s the thrilling sound of an artist who is always evolving, redefining their legacy one song at a time.
Both ‘The Cost Of Giving Up’ and ‘Crystallized’ are now available to stream on your favourite streaming platform.
