Fresh from a run of UK tour dates supporting Maximo Park, Chester indie-pop trio PEANESS are delighted to reveal the video for their new single ‘What’s The Use?’ released on 27th October 2021 through the band’s own label, Totally Snick Records.

The track is the first single to be taken from their recently revealed forthcoming debut album, scheduled for a 2022 release with further details to follow soon.

With the original intention of putting ‘What’s The Use?’ out in the summer of 2020, in March 2020 bass player and vocalist Jess created a compilation video of phone footage from previous tour shenanigans for a fast-paced, exciting, and wholesomely authentic representation of Peaness life.

It wasn’t until some months had passed, and the reality of the year ahead kicked in, that the video became much more special to the band—with each delay, reschedule and cancellation of plans, the song and video took on a greater personal meaning for them.

Commenting on the track, the band said: “Did you feel like screaming into a pillow at all these past 18 months? Same!”

Now thankfully finally back on the road, Peaness have already somehow zipped through a packed festival run this year appearing at the likes of Green Man Festival, FarmFest, FESTEVOL, Manchester Psych Fest, and Confessional Festival.

Next up comes their biggest ever London headline show at Oslo on 18th November 2021, with very limited remaining tickets on sale now (see below for listings), and a support slot with BC Camplight at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on 8th December 2021.

Further details of the band’s forthcoming debut album will be revealed over the coming months.

‘What’s The Use?’ is released 27th October 2021
