Arriving hot on the heels of recent lead single “Are You In,” Vienna-based trio My Ugly Clementine return with “Feet Up,” the second track off their highly anticipated forthcoming album, ‘The Good Life’, which is set to be released on August 11, 2023, via BMG.
Complete with rocking guitars and catchy hooks, the band adds a unique and fresh twist to the tired old FOMO phenomenon, turning that “Fear Of Missing Out” into an exultant “Joy Of Missing Out” – JOMO! And make no mistake: Embracing boredom, celebrating tediousness, it’s another surefire anthem and an absolute blast!
Whereas its nimble, highly contagious energy will certainly make you want to dance, the lyrics focus on the just the opposite – keeping your feet up. “Boredom doesn’t necessarily have to be a negative thing; sometimes it’s better to slow down and enjoy the moment. After our shows, for example, we love to just hang out in the backstage area, sipping Gin and Tonics and playing board games.” An effortless tune that’s both serious and lighthearted, “Feet Up” is pure summer fun.

My Ugly Clementine comprises of three visionaries from Vienna’s thriving music scene – Sophie Lindinger, Mira Lu Kovacs, and Nastasja Ronck. While Lindinger is also part of the acclaimed pop duo Leyya, guitarist Mira Lu Kovacs is a successful solo musician and songwriter and Ronck also plays with Austrian indie heavy-weights Sharktank. Following the 2020 release of My Ugly Clementine’s debut album ‘Vitamin C,’ the band have performed at various renowned festivals across Europe including Primavera Sound (Barcelona), Reeperbahn Festival (Hamburg), and Eurosonic (Groningen), as well as winning the prestigious Impala Album of the Year Award. More recently, My Ugly Clementine opened as Special Guests during Parcel’s European Tour 2022.
This fall, My Ugly Clementine are going to present their forthcoming ‘The Good Life’ album live on tour – meaning lots of mellow downtime and even more board game action on the bus 😉 With more new hits like “Feet Up” up their collective sleeves, one shouldn’t miss that JOMO action!
