Indie rock three piece My Ugly Clementine have today announced their second album The Good Life as well as releasing a brand new single and details of a European tour. The album will arrive on August 11th via BMG.
My Ugly Clementine is a supergroup that has emerged out of Vienna’s thriving music scene. The supergroup consists of Sophie Lindinger (Leyya), Mira Lu Kovacs (solo singer/songwriter) and Nastasja Ronck (Sharktank).
‘Are You In’ features heavy grunge riffs with captivating harmonies reminiscent of Boygenius’ ‘Satanist’. Lyrically the song looks at the obstacles faced in everyday life, however offers a note of positivity talking about “the good life’. As well as the single the band has also released a new video.
The Good Life is a self-produced album with the band taking full control over the direction of their sound. Recorded in the Beskid Mountains, the group nicknamed Lindinger the ‘president of sound’ as she overtook mixing duties. Lindinger believes ‘Are You in’ is the perfect first taste for the new album commenting “this is exactly the sound of the new album”.
My Ugly Clementine will tour Europe in support of the album this September and October with the band playing in London.
