MUDSHARK have today shared their debut EP ZLV and have also released a new video for the closing track ‘EYES OF MEDUSA’.
The trio who began MUDSHARK as a remote project during the pandemic have released ZLV which is the first of two EP’s written during the pandemic. Breathing fresh air into rock and metal, MUDSHARK have a distinctive sound perfectly striking the balance between heavy and a rock and roll groove.
Speaking on ‘EYES OF MEDUSA’ the band say “this is a song Hagen (guitarist) wrote at age 14. Probably the most straightforward “metal” track on the EP. Beautiful vocals and lyrics, with a definite chorus that’ll get stuck in your head. If that isn’t enough, we recorded an acoustic version of this tune also (you lucky devils).”
ZLV releases today via Shark Infested Records. The five track EP was recorded in Southampton in 2022 and was engineered and mixed by Neil Kennedy (Creeper, Boston Manor) and mastered by Gene ‘Machine’ Freeman (Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, Clutch).
