Bristol based Misery Loves Company has announced its second wave of bands which includes some big names. Joining the line up as stage headliners are Heriot, Fearless Vampire Killers, and The Hara.
Misery Loves Company takes place across multiple venues in Bristol. With five stages spread across three venues, the new headliners join previously announced headliners Twin Atlantic and Yonaka.
Misery Loves Company aims to promote diversity wherever possible. They are proud to announce that 50% of the acts announced have female and/or non-binary members. With diversity and inclusivity at its core, The festival is setting itself up to be a huge event.
The festival also partnered Head Above The Waves, a non-profit that aims to raise awareness about depression and self-harm in young people. Festival promoter Ian Chadderton commented on the partnership saying “They promote positive, healthy coping mechanisms and remind people that they are not alone.”
Speaking on the location of the festival Ian Chadderton said “this festival is a chance for me to show the world why I fell in love with Bristol and a chance for me to give something back to the place that gave me everything.” He then added “we want to establish ourselves as a major festival in the UK, where we bring the biggest rock and alternative artists from across the world to Bristol.”
