Everyone loves a good rock bust up, The Beatles vs The Stones, Blue vs Oasis, Celine Dion vs Wu Tang Clan, Seal vs Slayer, they love it, bearing this in mind good time musical showbiz pals Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons and Fighting decided to kick off with each other and drag the whole of their hometowns into it, thus ‘Blackpool vs Preston’ was born.
Starting out as a gig in each of their hometowns featuring Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons and Kraul from Blackpool against Fighting and Hello Bamboo from Preston the concept has quickly grown into a downloadable compilation album featuring seven bands from each town, due for release on the day of the first gig (March 1) the compilation album features the first new material from instrumental post-rock band ‘Goonies Never Say Die’ in over two years as well as new material from Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons and Escape Artist as well as tracks from Fighting, Hello Bamboo, Kraul, The Karma Party, Scouts, The Dropout Wives, Chaotix, Elohymn, Zvlink, Boy Genius and Featherbone.

The live action takes place on Friday, March 1 at The Mad Ferret in Preston at 8pm and Saturday, March 2 at The Blue Room in Blackpool at 8:30pm featuring sets from Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons, fighting, Kraul and Hello Bamboo.
