LUMER’s latest single is a witty, tongue and cheek, social commentary on the current social climate. With an infectious groove and a harsh chorus to mirror the stark reality of the world we live in. ‘Hatred is a Passion of Theirs’  blends wonky guitars, punchy drums, a danceable bassline topped with a moaning yet playful vocal, to create an enrapturing and fresh new track. The Single will be supported by a music video in collaboration with Fred Perry.

Lead vocalist Alex Evans speaks of the damning theme of their new track quoting: “We’ve been to pubs, seen on social media, that old fella who still lives in 1954 and hates the non-white, young and everything in between. Boris is his saviour, Trump’s an accessory and If Hatred is a passion then it must be theirs.”

Off the back of a strong end to 2021 with LUMER’s headline EU tour supported by shows at Croc The Rock Festival(SW) and Left Of The Dial In Rotterdam, as well as supporting Psych Legends Thee Oh Sees in Leeds. ‘Hatred Is a Passion Of Theirs’ is LUMER’s first single of 2022 which will be followed by LUMER’s second EP to be announced in June alongside the first single from the release.
