Hundred Reasons today announce their return, ten years after their triumphant Ideas Above Our Station Year Ten anniversary shows, which sold out in moments. The band will play nine UK headline shows in Spring 2022, with support from esteemed contemporaries (and good friends) Hell Is For Heroes.
Beloved for passionate, anthemic guitar music which can be both obliteratingly heavy and unnervingly tender, Hundred Reasons write songs most contemporary rock bands would kill for.
It’s recognition of the inimitable musical chemistry that exists between them that’s meant the band have never ‘gone on hiatus’, split, or called time on Hundred Reasons, instead marking significant years with a return to the public eye.
Formed in late 1999, Hundred Reasons established their enviable reputation as an unmissable live band at the forefront of the UK emo / post-hardcore scene of the early 00s. Innumerable festival appearances, six Top 40 singles, two Top 20 albums, global sales of over 400k and considerable critical acclaim followed. In the nascent days of the internet, HR were trailblazers for a ‘no rock star attitude’ scene which broke down the barriers between band and audience – you’d be as likely to find them in the pit or on the merch stand as on stage.
Sound like gods; behave like decent human beings.
Hundred Reasons are: Andy Bews, Colin Doran, Andy Gilmour, Larry Hibbitt.
