Reading & Leeds festivals have announced the line-up for this year’s BBC Introducing stages.
The list of bands includes the likes of: Attention Thieves, Backyards, Bearfoot Beware, Black Moth (pictured), Crooked Tongues, Cut Ribbons, Danica Hunter, Deaf Club, Dear Prudence, Dingus Khan, Empror & Duppy Beatz, Escape To New York, Escapists, The Establishment, Family of the Year, Fish Tank, Glassbody, Hawk Eyes, Hildamay, If an Dafydd, Lady Lykez, Marmozets, Marsicans, Max Raptor, Mikill Pane, Park Bench Society, Proxies, Rachel Sermanni, RIO, Samoans, Sarah Williams White, Seasfire, Vengeance and the Panther Queen, Wet Nun, We Walk On Ice, We Were Frontiers.
These bands will of course, join the likes of Foo Fighters, The Cure, Kasabian, Paramore, Florence & The Machine and The Black Keys who are already confirmed to play across the weekend. There’s also the likes of Sleigh Bells, Veronica Falls, Alt-J, Young Guns, Niki and the Dove and We Are Augustines set to appear on the Festival Republic stage, whilst Social Distortion, Less Than Jake, Trash Talk, Touché Amoré and Grimes will all appear at the Lock Up/ Dance tents.
There’s also new additions in the form of the Leeds-only takeover of Transgressive, who will take over the Alternative Stage for two evenings. They will showcase the likes of Outfit, Summer Camp, Disclosure, Theme Park, AlunaGeorge and Ghostpoet late on the evenings of August 25 and 26.
