Up and coming popstar KiD RAiN has released his new single ‘Something to Hate’, along with an accompanying video.
The single will feature on his brand new EP which follows later this year. The song, much like most of his music, is about a coming-of-age experience that everyone goes through: in this case, being angry at a break-up – even though your ex partner has done nothing wrong.
Of the song, KiD RAiN says, “I have written at least four songs over the last few years called ‘Something To Hate’. I knew it was something I really wanted to say, I was just waiting for the right song to come along, and around eight months ago it did. It’s so easy to move on from someone if you hate them, but when it’s someone who hasn’t done anything wrong, that’s much harder to shift. I just wish they’d just do something terrible, so I’d at least have something to hate about them.”
KiD RAiN started playing instruments as a child before starting to write songs at the age of 12. He put together a home studio in his teenage years and fully emerged as KiD RAiN just three years ago. TikTok has been a big part of his rise, with his engaging humour and improvised light-hearted songs being a favourite of his fans.
‘Something To Hate’ was written, produced and performed solely by KiD RAiN. You can listen to the song HERE or watch the video below:
