Cutty is a duo from Hull. Amy Precious and Kev La Kat met in Dive HU5 where they both worked and they quickly formed a musical partnership.
Originally, they soon started writing some music to perform at Amy’s art exhibition and after a very warm reception decided to pursue the collaboration. A busy 2022 for the pair followed, writing and recording in a studio based in Hull’s legendary Adelphi Club.
Cutty was swiftly picked up by BBC Introducing, where the duo performed a couple of live sessions, and countless local shows were done to refine and hone the sounds of what Cutty could be.
Kev La Kat comments: “After every show one song always stood out ‘Overdrive’ for us and audiences alike, the unreleased song would have people guessing the words to sing along there and then. ‘Overdrive’ wouldn’t feel out of place on the FIFA soundtrack, Glastonbury main stage, or Paris fashion week.”
