After already taking the metal world by storm, Harper has released a new single ‘Weight Of The World”. Featuring guest vocals from Dave Stephens from We Came As Romans and written by Leo Valeri from Brand Of Sacrifice, the track is a fiery metalcore banger.
‘Weight Of The World’ is the first piece of new music from Harper in 2023. The 11 year old captured the attention of metalheads globally after flawlessly covering Spiritbox’s “Holy Roller” before appearing on America’s Got Talent.
With riffs that are guaranteed to make you move and screams to rival any metalcore singer, Harper hits all the right notes with ‘Weight Of The World’. The lyrics reflects her view on the situation she has found herself in at a young age.
Explaining her thoughts on the song Harper said “Weight Of The World was written about the last few years of my life. I’m still so new to music, and I definitely felt there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders holding the flag for heavy music on such a commercial stage last year”. Adding to this she commented “it’s also a very empowering song, and I really hope through my music a lot of kids my age can discover heavy music and also be inspired to make their own”.
Harper appears to be a star in the making, and at only 11 years old the future of metal appears to be in safe hands.
