Leeds via Berlin multidisciplinary artist Hang Linton has shared new track ‘Radiator’ via Come Play With Me Records / EMI North ahead of his Manchester Apollo debut supporting Yard Act on March 16th.
Powered by aggressive electronic-punk percussion and new-wave synths, ‘Radiator’ is a raw, political anthem opposing the rise in our cost of living which Hang states is “is fueled by corporate greed and government negligence.”
After self-producing and recording in his home studio, Hang enlisted the help of Gorillaz’s prolific live bassist Seye Adelekan . The result track is powerful, raucous and charged with Hang’s signature, unmistakable energy.
Hang’s art is a rebellion against clean aesthetics, inspired by past experiences, changing global events & the ugliness in the world.
It’s not pretty – but it’s important & Hang will make sure you enjoy the ride.
Equipped with a sprawling array of synths, samplers and visual effects, Hang has been commanding the attention of audiences across the UK at numerous shows & festivals as well as featuring in Yard Act’s recent video series.
Hang Linton reveals, “I was inspired to create a song about the hard decisions we experience because corporate energy companies, in cahoots with the government, have decided to extort the general public. Prices keep rising and it boils down to a choice of heating or eating. Many of us feel the crush underneath their record-breaking profits as our accounts are in the red and I am fed up. Something needs to change and I believe we, the public, can be the force that brings that change by saying, no more! It is time to renationalise public services.”
