WWE have announced that SmackDown will now emanate from The O2 Arena in London the night before the venue hosts their annual Money in the Bank Premium Live Event on Saturday, July 1st 2023.
The SmackDown show will take place in the same location on, Friday, June 30, 2023, meaning WWE will be hosting two events in London over that weekend.
This marks the first time ever that SmackDown will broadcast live and in primetime from the UK at 8pm local on BT Sport, as usually, the company pre-records SmackDown episodes when holding live shows in Europe.

WWE fans will now be able to book tickets for both events, the SmackDown go-home show and the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Of course, Money in the Bank is host to the MITB Ladder Match, which sees WWE Superstars compete to win a contract that allows them to cash in anytime for a championship opportunity. In the past, this has led to some rather entertaining spectacles, but doesn’t always guarantee a victory.
The SmackDown event the night before Money in the Bank will likely build directly to the Premium Live Event, seeing wrestlers jostle for a place in the ladder match so they can snag such a precious opportunity. This means that the SmackDown show at the O2 is likely to be a unique and memorable one.
