Ella McRobb has released her new single, ‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’, co-written with Flyte’s Will Taylor and Nick Hill.
On ‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’, Ella McRobb comments, “‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’ is a nostalgic song about cherishing every moment you have with the people you love. You never know whether it’ll be the last time you’re on your dad’s shoulders, or visit a place that’s special to you. The song was written in three hours with Will (Taylor) and Nick (Hill) from Flyte and Hugo M. Hardy – on my way to meet them I had the thought of ‘if I’d known what I do now, what would I do differently?’, and that became the basis of the song.”
Since her debut single, ‘and we’ll leave it there…’, Ella McRobb has become a known name in the music industry. The amount of raw emotion included in her music makes for relatable, heartfelt stories that have rightfully earned the heart of many music-lovers.
‘Give Me Love (And I Will Give You Everything)’ is a supporting track to ‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’. The singer explains, “In many ways, ‘Give Me Love (And I Will Give You Everything)’ was born out of ‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’. I went to my close friend and collaborator Adam Lee, who’s also a musical wizard, to expand on the feelings I wanted to evoke with ‘Slow Motion Heartbreak’, whilst creating a song that’s special in its own right. The song is about how I live my life with my heart on my sleeve, and if I’m given someone’s love, I will give them everything in return.”
