Post-punk band Egyptian Blue have released new single Matador and announce UK and European tour dates alongside.
Emerging out of the pandemic a different band, Egyptian Blue have developed a new-found hunger that Matador embodies from start to finish. As they transform this drive and determination into grinding guitar riffs, the new single from the Brighton four-piece is incredibly fierce and totally unrelenting.
Frontman Andy Buss on new single Matador:
“Matador is a remark on the unwanted perils of keeping toxic relationships at an arm’s length yet being unwillingly compliant and searching for the exit. I seem to recall the song coming together in a sole session after a 20-minute jam. With some songs you walk out of the practice room feeling excited and strangely liberated. I think that feeling was really captured at the time.”
After receiving support from Steve Lamacq at BBC 6 Music, So Young Magazine and Dork, Egyptian Blue are embarking on a highly anticipated UK and European tour at the end of this year. The newly announced tour dates include the iconic 100 club in London, the bands biggest headline show to date.
