Marc Hudson has released ‘The Siren’, the second single off his forthcoming debut solo album Starbound Stories. The new album releases August 25th via Napalm Records.
Hudson is bringing together all of his influences to create a fusion of power metal and J-pop. Openly sharing his love anime and video game soundtracks, all of this is present on ‘The Siren’ with Hudson unleashing a Japan inspired power metal ballad. A video has also been released alongside the single which captures all of Hudson’s Japanese influences perfectly.
Speaking on the release Hudson comments “With soaring melodies, an electronic pulse and a chorus bursting to life with J-pop sensibilities, ‘The Siren’ serves as a love letter to the nightlife of Japan, lighting up the sky with endless colours and possibilities.”
Starbound Stories features a range of guest musicians each bringing something different to give the album a distinctive sound. A range of musicians are featured playing traditional Japanese instruments as well as guest appearances for guitars and vocals.
