Dirty Honey have released a brand new single and it’s an all out rocker. ‘Won’t Take Me Alive’ is the first track off the bands latest album Can’t Find The Brakes which is due out later this year.
Dirty Honey have become a household name within rock in the last few years selling out their own tours and having spots supporting Guns N’ Roses and KISS. The band will begin a world tour later this year that will go into 2024 in support of the new album.
Recorded in April this year, in Australia’s Byron Bay, the new single packs all the swagger, punch and the grit you’d want from any rock song in 2023. Using producer Nick NaDia’s (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine) studio in Australia the new single feels like the perfect introduction for what is seemingly going to be a mammoth rock album.
Speaking on the single guitarist John Notto said “’Won’t Take Me Away’ was an instrumental idea I demoed on bass, drums, and guitar at my home studio. I brought it to the band, and we wrote a new chorus, and it was basically finished that quickly. Nick [DiDia] rented some vintage amps and really helped me get the raunchy sound and attitude I wanted for the riff.”
