Jack is Back! Multiple award-winning composer, songwriter and reigning Pumpkin King, Danny Elfman returns to the UK this December with the live-to-film concert event celebrating the timeless classic, “Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” for two very special shows at London OVO Arena Wembley.
This unique live cine-concert production taking place Christmas 2024 features Danny Elfman (the original singing voice of the film’s main character, Jack Skellington, and writer of all the film’s songs) performing live in sync with the full-length movie projected on the big screen, accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra and very special guests.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” stands out as a seminal creative triumph from the legendary film making duo of director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman. First released in 1993, Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was directed by Henry Selick (“James and the Giant Peach”) and based on a story and characters by Tim Burton.
The film follows the earnest-but-misguided adventures of Jack Skellington, Halloween Town’s beloved Pumpkin King, as he attempts to take over the Christmas holiday. Against the advice of Sally, a lonely rag doll who has feelings for him, Jack enlists three mischievous trick-or-treaters – Lock, Shock, and Barrel – to help him kidnap Santa Claus.
Since its release, this beloved family film has become a world-wide classic and staple part of the extended holiday season. This unique live production has performed to sold out audiences across the globe, including the Hollywood Bowl, Barclays Center, Tokyo International Forum, and London’s The OVO Arena, Wembley in 2019 and 2022.

About Danny Elfman:
Danny Elfman, film composer and singer-songwriter for the rock band Oingo Boingo, has garnered international recognition for composing over 100 feature film scores, as well as compositions for television, stage productions, and the classical concert hall. Elfman has been Tim Burton’s composer for more than 35 years, having scored 17 Burton films such as “Batman,” “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,” “Beetlejuice,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Dumbo,” and “Big Fish.” Elfman has also frequently worked with director Sam Raimi on films such as “Spider-Man” and last year’s Marvel summer blockbuster “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” as well as Gus Van Sant for his Academy® Award-winning films “Good Will Hunting” and “Milk.” Additionally, he wrote music for all the “Men in Black” and “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise films, the songs and score for Henry Selick and Tim Burton’s animated musical “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and the themes for the popular television series “Desperate Housewives” and “The Simpsons.” Throughout his career, Elfman has been honored with four Oscar® nominations, two Emmy® Awards, a GRAMMY® Award along with thirteen other GRAMMY® nominations, six Saturn Awards for Best Music, the 2002 Richard Kirk Award, the 2015 Disney Legend Award, and the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award in 2017. Most recently, Danny and collaborator Chris Bacon won the 2023 Emmy® for their Main Title and Score to Tim Burton’s #1 hit Netflix show “Wednesday.”
