Blood Command unveil a new music video for ‘Decades’, a more pop-leaning evolution of the band’s sound.
Hailing from Bergen, Norway, Blood Command formed in 2008 and have since toured worldwide, most recently embarking on their first tour of Australia. With roots in hardcore, the band have grown in a more melodic direction, and ‘Decades’ sees the band indulge fully in a more pop-centric sound, masking some of the darker lyricism that is hidden within the track.
“The song is about giving up on love.” Blood Command say. “There are references to the religious movement, Heavens Gate, most notably the title being the model of Nikes that the cult wore when their bodies were discovered after the mass suicide in 1997.”

Speaking on the musical direction, the band say, “To broaden our universe, we wanted to strip back the usual rock orchestration we are known for and tap more into our pop/rnb side with synths, beats and softer vocals, which is a taste of what is to come for this record, pushing musical genres to the extreme and doing the unexpected.”
‘Decades’ was recorded and mixed at SpaceKraft Studios by Simon Jackman, mastered by Dag Erik Nygaard, and produced by the bands own Yngve Andersen. ‘Decades’ is taken from an upcoming album which looks to test the boundaries of what Blood Command are capable of.
March saw the release of ‘Losing Faith’, which saw the band take a more acoustic approach, proving that the album Blood Command have in store promises to be diverse and disparate in its compositional approach.
