California metalcore legends Avenged Sevenfold have released a second single off their forthcoming album Life Is But A Dream… and it is interesting to say the least.
‘We Love You’ is a six minute epic that has everything from electronic to thrash metal. Avenged Sevenfold have always been a band to experiment and defy expectations and this is no different.
Following on from ‘Nobody’ which released in March, ‘We Love You’ is only the second piece of new studio material from the band in seven years. The single is clear departure from their usual sound, however, the song has a little something for everyone. Electronics, screaming and clean acoustic slide – they leave no stone unturned.
Again, in typical Avenged Sevenfold fashion, the band have released a video to go alongside the single. The video is a 360 VR experience created by artist Ryan McKinnon using Unreal Engine. Starting off in what seems like the normal world, the themes of the song take over and show the world falling apart.
Avenged Sevenfold this month play their first live shows in over years. With two previously announced festival appearances to play the band have announced a special show in Las Vegas which sold out almost instantly. Fans in Las Vegas can also experience the Life Is But A Dream immersive experience this weekend, hearing the full album three weeks before its official release on June 2nd.
