Veteran rocker Alice Cooper has announced his 22nd solo album Road. Road releases on August 25th with the first single ‘I’m Alice’ out now.
Long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin is the producer for Road with the album being written, composed and recorded with Cooper’s touring bandmates. The use of the band has helped to reignite an old-school Alice Cooper sound with driving guitars, a barrage of drums and Alice’s iconic vocals.
Speaking on the use of the band Alice says “For Road, I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs.” Expanding on this he adds “I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”
The 13 track album will release in a variety of formats, with certain editions featuring a DVD of Alice Cooper’s 2022 Hellfest set. Featuring a mixture of classics and rarities, it will be a must have for any fan of Alice’s.
Road releases August 25th on earMUSIC.
