South by Southwest (SXSW), is the world’s leading festival celebrating the convergence of creativity, culture and technology. Next year it will be heading to the UK and launching in London, June 2025.
SXSW has become a global platform for everyone from independent artists to filmmakers to celebrate new ideas and launch their careers.
SXSW is held is Texas yearly, where thousands get together and debate the biggest issues of our time recently including, AI, climate change, politics and society. The festival provides platforms for the world’s most critical and impactful voices.
The world’s leading speakers have been welcomed to the festival since it began in 1987. This includes, Christiane Amanpour, Deepak Chopra, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, the Duchess of Sussex, Mark Zuckerberg and so many more. The festival also creates oppertunitys for musicians and fimakers to showcase their art. In the past many influential artists such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Amy Winehouse have attended.
In a new location, SXSW London will bring its own distinctive personality. The festival will run for a week and take place in dozens of venues, galleries, clubs and other spaces in the Shoreditch, east London.
SXSW London has so much to offer and will introduce visual arts, design and fashion programmes with exhibitions and interactive, immersive experiences.
SXSW London will also continue to promote positive change for future generations, especially on the topic of on climate action and sustainability.
