Echo And The Bunnymen perform in York this month

Iconic post-punk band Echo And The Bunnymen will perform at York’s Grand Opera House on September 29, 2011. This will be the only Yorkshire show on their ‘Ocean Rain’ tour.

‘Ocean Rain’ is considered the most commercially accessible album that the Bunnymen have made. The record gave birth to major hits including ‘The Killing Moon’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Seven Seas’, as well as the title track.

Already, the band have played the album in its entirety two years ago at the Royal Albert Hall, London, Radio City Music Hall in New York and a homecoming gig at Liverpool Echo Arena to mark their 30th anniversary.

 

This September, they will do it again, accompanied by string players on a six-date autumn tour of Manchester Palace Theatre (September 24 – box office, 0844 847 2275), Birmingham Symphony Hall, (September 25 – 0121 780 3333), London Palladium (September 26 – 0207 403 3331), Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (September 28 – 0844 499 9990), Grand Opera House, York (September 29) and Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, (September 30 – 0151 709 3789).

 

Tickets will cost £37.50, £28.50 or £22.50.
