In what is most definitely our shortest Q&A in history, and our next Reverbnation spotlight, we speak with Michael Williams of the Michael Williams Band. There’s a free download in here as well, and it is awesome!

S] What, or who are your great musical inspirations?

M] “I would say that my greatest inspirations have always been Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sting, Junior Medlow and Chris Duarte.”

S] What about personally, what kinds of themes and ideas can inspire your songs?

M] “I can really be inspired by anything to be honest, from the birth of a new child to the highs and lows of a relationship, and the sun coming up in the morning.”

S] What song that you are working on right now best defines your sound, and why?

M] “I would say that, really, it has to be ‘Land Of The Living’. That song represents the most recent music that I have written and describes how I feel about life today.”

S] Do you have a message for any UK fans?

M] “Simply put, I hope to see you on tour in the UK in 2013! It has always been a dream of mine to play my music for you.”

S] What can people expect from your live show?

M] “All I can say before you experience it for yourself is that it is 10 times heavier than anything you will hear on my albums!”

S] What are some of your biggest challenges right now?

M] “Like a lot of musicians out there, for me it’s challenging to balance life with a family and touring out on the road.”

S] What’re your plans as we move into 2013?

M] “My plans are simply to perform as much as is humanly possible!”
