Dubbed the UK’s “most exciting new heavy band”, Swindon’s HERIOT have just dropped their new single ‘Siege Lord.’
Recorded with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, Architects) and GRAMMY Award-winning Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers), it follows their two most recent singles ‘Demure‘ and ‘Soul Chasm.’
Sharing some words on the new cut, the band said that ‘Seige Lord’ definitely leans into their “more metallic side.” “[it’s] a track we feel expands on our previous releases. It’s a visceral yet atmospheric track that lyrically contemplates the fragility of soul searching.”
The “metallic sludge weaponisers” flew to success with the release of their debut EP, 2022’s ‘Profound Morality.’ They followed it by selling out headline tours, and picking up kudos from Pitchfork, Metal Hammer and many others along the way.
Excitingly, with this new single and its predecessor being their first after signing to their new label Century Media, it seems very likely that a new EP or album isn’t too far away.
