Coughin’ Vicars have signed to Venn Records, and will be releasing their new album, Curses & Prayers, on July 26 of this year.
Curses & Prayers opening track, ‘Until The Feeling Turns Cold’ has been released today, setting expectations way up high for the rest of the album. Coughin’ Vicars have used this single to channel the frustrations of warmth-induced lethargy and the difficulty around the summer months.
Roman Remains (vocals) comments, “The carpet can get pulled at any moment so we gotta try our best to thrive in the moment of inspiration. Everyone loves the summer and the heat but let’s face it – the days are long and nights unsettling, the concrete is dry and wheels roll free too easily. EasyJet envy burns, the insects irritate, and the urge for another can turns into a midsummer moon. We’re most productive in the colder climates. Kicking against the conformity of hibernation, CV get stuff done while the masses wait with wide screen tvs.”
The Liverpool DIY punks have spent two years putting this album together, and have used ‘Until The Feeling Turns Cold’ to show what they have been up to. Curses & Prayers has been long-awaited by Coughin’ Vicars’ fans and followers. Their new album will be with us on July 26.
