100 gecs release a music video for ‘Most Wanted Person in the United States’ from 10,000 gecs.
Currently partway through their sold-out North American tour in support of 10,000 gecs, an album which brought with it heaps of acclaim from the likes of NME, DIY, Kerrang! and more, the duo now release a video for ‘Most Wanted Person in the United States’, featuring gecs wreaking havoc to the track which has become a live fan-favourite.
The music video is directed by Steve Smith, who also directed the music video for previous single ‘Dumbest Girl Alive.’
100 gecs have announced Australia and New Zealand shows for this July, at Splendour In The Grass Festival in Byron Bay and at Powerstation in Auckland. This is in addition to a stop at Fuji Rock, Japan. The duo have two weeks left of their North American tour at time of writing, with direct support from Machine Girl. They have also played alongside Fever Ray in Washington D.C. as well as their Boiler Room set in Los Angeles earlier this year.
100 gecs are seemingly riding the wave of momentum provided by the splash made by 10,000 gecs, the hotly anticipated sequel to 2019’s 1000 gecs and its 2020 remix album, 1000 gecs and the Tree of Clues. Though, fans did have the 2022 EP Snake Eyes to keep themselves occupied with.

The band have also received the stamp of approval from several prestigious artists, having shared the stage with the likes of Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance in 2022. Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, the duo – consisting of Laura Les and Dylan Brady – released their first, self-titled EP in 2016 which garnered a cult Soundcloud following, and in 2019 would release 1000 gecs, changing the hyperpop landscape in the process. Having since collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX and Fall Out Boy, 100 gecs have cemented themselves as a staple in the modern music landscape and continue to defy labelling.
